We believe none of this would exist without the artist and we prioritize daily how to put the artist in control of their body of work. Art has been around in time immemorial and for way too long, the creators have been sidelined and massive issues have arisen from inequity to fraud and mistrust. We learned this first hand at Christie’s, where both our co-founders spent over a decade in combined experience prior to founding Lobus. At Lobus, we believe that the future deserves a better model of ownership, one centered around making artists owners and with that the ecosystem will thrive. We are innovating new structures — like the artist’s cap table — and we are designing a world in which owners*, at all levels, are in control of their information.
